R. V. Davis, age 82, of Jourdanton, and formerly of Freer, Lytle and San Antonio passed away Friday, December 18, 2009. R.V. was the owner of Davis and Godley Construction, Freer, Texas and Shoreline Drilling, Lytle, Texas. He is survived by his sons, David Arnold Davis and wife Elizabeth of Lakeway, TX and Michael Lynn Davis and wife Lonnie of Lonoke, AK and daughter Nancy Gail Davis Tumlinson of Jourdanton, TX. R.V. is also survived by nine grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-five years Juanita Craig Davis, and parents Roy and Mary Ann (Dawson) Davis. Memorial services will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, Pleasanton, TX, at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 21, 2009. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
